Papers of the Charlottesville Branch of the American Association of University Women [manuscript], 1955-1993.

Papers of the Charlottesville branch include correspondence, charter and by-laws, meeting minutes, branch reports, treasurer's reports, annual convention materials, photographs, printed materials and other publications generated by the branch or distributed by the national or state organizations. Topics in the papers concern civic, charitable and women's issues, particularly the A.A.U.W. Educational Foundation and its funding of fellowships and grants for university women. There is also a photograph album and a video-cassette of the the state convention at Charlottesville in 1987. Correspondents include presidents Patricia E. Bender, Charlotte Schrader, Lorie W. Shipe, and Lu Bolen and vice-presidents for program development Wilma Albert, Roy Land, Elizabeth R. Schubert, Lorie A. Wierenga and Lu Bolen.
